Dress Description:
This is an elegant Vera Wang strapless, modified mermaid gown with vertical pleating, taffeta sash, and English net overlay matched with a lace bolero. I ordered and purchased this dress at Vera Wang’s flagship store in NYC and worked with the seamstress there. I chose this gown because I loved the dramatic way this dress flowed as I walked. I also liked the modern look of vertical pleats, which made me look taller. I wore the gown with a lace bolero (also from Vera Wang) for a more classic look, but you could do without it for a sexier look for the reception. The gown has a gorgeous train, as shown in the photos. There are buttons (not visible) at the lower backside of the gown, where you can hook the train for a “butterfly-hem”, so you can make the gown floor length for the reception. The bustle is built in, so you don’t need to wear a bra. I wore the bow at the back, but you can tie it on the side or front, depending on your style. The gown, bolero, sash and the original garment bag have all been professionally dry cleaned and stored in an acid free box, all in perfect condition. I am 5’5 and wear a 34C. Veil/Headpiece Description:
Also included is a brand-new single layer, shoulder length veil that came with the gown. You could wear this veil as is, or add a second long layer and create your look. It is not shown in the photos. I didn't wear this, because the veil was my "something borrowed".
