Dress Description:

This is the classic A-Line, strapless dress in white duchess satin with the french blue taffeta sash. The skirt of the dress has a chapel train which starts at the knot of the sash and extends down the back of the dress. Words cannot describe this dress if you haven't seen it in person. The blue sash is a beautiful slate color, it is just timeless. My dress was worn once for my wedding in October 2005. Since then, it was cleaned and has been preserved in a box and never removed. I have only inspected it without removing it from the preservation box and from what I have seen, all of the dust on the hem from wearing the dress was removed during cleaning. My dress does have the typical minor snags/pulls that happen to satin during the pulling and prodding of the bustling, dancing, walking, wearing, etc during the wedding. However, at a fraction of the price I do not think you would be disappointed to have this lovely dress. The only alterations done to my dress was the hem was taken up to accomodate my height (5'4") with 3.5" heels and the bustle. I had a double bustle so many small ties were sewn into the lining of the dress. These could be removed/changed to suit how you choose to have your bustle done. I have included this very simple, inexpensive veil that I put on for the reception to replace my cathedral length veil I wore in the ceremony. It is preserved in the box with the dress.
