The wedding day deserves a gown as exceptional as the love story. Ines Di Santo's Lyra Gown is the union of romance and allure that I was searching for. It has a sensuous fit and flare design that created the hourglass figure I desired. The silk gown drapes over your body like a second skin. The position of the flare below the hips was perfect; low enough to comfortably sit and take graceful strides.
Adorned with the finest lace, the designer luxury gown whispers romance and elegance. The lace detail, hand-sewn to perfection, is nothing short of magical. Delicate, intricate patterns cascade down the bodice and gracefully extend to where the train begins, creating a vision of timeless beauty.
The daring, yet tastefully elegant lower back design sparked additional confidence in me. You will turn heads twice, walking down the aisle.
The veil is a simple, delicate sheer tulle that compliments the gown. It is the perfect finishing touch and is included with the purchase of the dress.
The color provided by the designer is Cameo Pink, but in reality, it has an Ivory appeal with perhaps a hint of pink in certain lights. Underneath the tulle, you will see an intricate ivory lace material, which ensures the gown behaves and doesn't rise up towards the sky in windy weather. The gown and lining are 100% silk (Made in Canada).
Holding this gown at the time of writing this description, made me realize how difficult it is to part with it. It's truly a masterpiece in design and as one who is focused on the details, it's the beautiful details of the gown that hold my gaze. However, I am moving out of this country soon and do not have the space to hold onto this treasure in my new home.
Condition: Due to its current worn condition, the gown requires a dry cleaning. The small tear in the tulle occurred at the back of the gown (got snagged in travertine stone of the Palm Beach Clock Tower). The tear is not visible and never showed up in the hundreds of photos taken and should be easy to repair if you choose to do so.
Alterations: Hip to torso was lengthened by 1 inch to accommodate for a long torso. Push-up cups were added so it could be worn without a bra.
