Elegant Flowy Lace A-Line Wedding Dress
No flaws or blemishes. Worn to my outdoor wedding in May 2019. The wedding was on the grass and the train did have some grass marks, but those were removed by the professional cleaners prior to storage.
This dress is not overly flashy, but more-so classically beautiful. It only took me about an hour to pick this dress. Soft Venice lace accents the bodice and straps, with hand-placed Chantilly lace lining the skirt, on-top of a nude underlay.
As soon as I put it on, I knew it was THE ONE. I received SO many compliments on this dress. I truly felt beautiful in it! I love how the straps are embroidered vines and the dress is paneled with chiffon and lace. Aside from the shoulder straps, my favorite feature is the back. It's a low back that buttons over the zipper, so the zipper is for security, but the buttons cover it for a flawless finish! The quality of this dress is amazing, it was so comfortable, I wish I got to wear it for more than one day.
Alterations
I'm a solid size 4, with a more athletic build (smaller breasts). I had alterations remove about 1/2 inch on the waist, just to get a bit of a more snug fit and for a tighter figure. She also made the breast cups a bit smaller (unsure of the amount, but the cups were still a little big on me so this dress could definitely fit a C cup, maybe even a D, if you're good with a little cleavage). Lastly, there were about 2 inches removed from the length in the front so I didn't step on it. I'm 5' 8.5" and wore flats so it rested right at the ground with a chapel train. The alterations lady did such an excellent job, I couldn't even tell it had been worked on. She was going to place a bustle, but was unable to since the fabric in the back is one large piece and there isn’t a seam. This wasn’t an issue as the train was so long, I just draped it over my arm for dancing, etc.
Never thought I'd get rid of this dress, held onto it for almost 3 years for sentimental value, but now would just love for someone else to enjoy it!
Quick note: Fabric holds wrinkles easily, so I made an appointment with the dry cleaner for them to steam it the day before and it was perfect (:
