Beautiful Sparkly Embroidered Lace Ball Gown Wedding Dress
I purchased this dress from a wedding dress store in Michigan called Vere Moda in 2020, during the covid-19 pandemic when it was at its peak. It was originally $8000, but because many weddings were canceled that year, business was doing poorly and they were forced to mark all their dresses down by 50%, so I was luckily able to buy this dress for $4000, including alterations!
The dresses from Vere Mod are Lebanese Couture and the women pick out the dresses every year from Lebanon, including this beauty!
Condition - My wedding was supposed to be in 2020 but was postponed to the summer of 2021, and right after the wedding, I had it dry cleaned and even preserved through David's Bridal. Currently, it is boxed and sealed, completely unopened from when it was cleaned.
Alterations - It is originally meant to be worn off-the-shoulders and had no sleeves, so what we did was add sleeves and covered the upper back with see-through lace, with floral 3-D appliqué. There is also a corset, so you can adjust it to however way you would like.
The dress has these gorgeous peplum-like folds on either side with lightly sequenced white lace, and the folds are made of a stiff material, as they are meant to stand. The entire dress is adorned with the same floral 3-D appliqué with dainty crystals. Those same details were used to cover the sliver in between the chest, as it is meant to be open.
My favorite part of my ball gown dress and a crowd favorite was the frilly, ruffled, stiff sleeves! If you decide to take off the sleeves I added, the frill sleeves can be worn off the shoulders or on top of the shoulders.
Also, there is a long train, but I had a bustle built-in, so it does not need to be worn at full length in the back, so room to dance freely!
Accessories - I have a matching cathedral length veil, for which I paid $250, which is included in the price. If interested, I can add my crystal tiara for a discounted price.
