This elegant, romantic, flowy dress gave me confidence and comfort in a strapless dress. The bodice has crystals and beautiful lace pulled together with lace over a small sheer panel on the lower back. The A-line silhouette starts just below the ribcage, making for a tiny waist, connected to 2 layers of lightweight tulle overlayed on a champagne silk skirt. I was married in June 2017 and was able to walk down the aisle and dance without feeling hot.
About the pictures shown:
1) Me holding my nephew, the ring bearer. The dress is comfortable enough to hold him in one arm and my bouquet in the other
2) Dress hanging so you can see the details before I wore it
3) Me at the ceremony. You can see how the lace continues down the back of the dress, as well as around the bottom, and how amazing the train looks
4) Picture of the bustle (as the seamstress was pinning it, the bra strap and pins are no longer on the dress). It has 3 bustle points - in the center with loops plus 2 sides with snaps. These are very easy to find as the seamstress put them along the lace in the middle and on the sides. My sister (matron of honor) had no trouble finding these and bustling the dress, which maintains the detail of the lace
5) Front of the dress now, after I wore it. You can see it's still in excellent shape and comes on a dress form in a white opaque bag so your significant other won't see the dress before the wedding ;)
6) Back of the dress now, after I wore it. Again, minimal wear and the lace is gorgeous down the back and at the bottom
7) Lace panel in back which has tasteful, elegant crystals to secure the loops
8) Showing the dress was worn, so it's not perfect at the bottom. However, in discussing with the bridal shop, this can be easily cleaned. There are absolutely no visible tears, marks, discoloration, or stains.
I purchased the dress in April 2017 at a cost of $1,299 and spent $521 on alterations. I am selling the dress at less than half that because I know the next bride will want to have it cleaned, which is an additional cost not included in the price of the dress. The dress fit well except in the bust where the seamstress added a 36B size bra from Victoria's Secret, which can be removed. She also tailored the length of the dress to my measurements: 5' 5.5" height + 1" heel shoes.
The dress is being kept in our smoke-free, pet-free, routinely-cleaned apartment in New Jersey. This dress made for a perfect, memorable wedding and I'm having a hard time letting it go. But I know it will bring as much joy to another bride as it did to me. I bought the dress new so I can imagine there's a lot of uncertainty when buying a used dress online, so please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos to put your mind at ease about buying the dress. Thank you.
