There are so many beautiful aspects to this soft glamourous; romantic mermaid authentic Vera Wang Ethel gown. It is from the Vera Wang Couture Wedding Collection. Perhaps the most otherworldly element is the ethereal combination of the hand-cut swirling tissue organza skirt and form-fitting bodice made of luxurious stretch Mikado silk. The manipulation of the layers of folded organza fabric, arranged skillfully, create depth and character in this dress and can either be worn as a flowing, cascading train or brought in and pined up for time on the dance floor. The look is incredibly romantic with a contemporary contrast of the clean an structured bodice, that hugs your body in the most flattering way because of the stretch quality of the material! Classic elegance, that is sophisticated and sexy at the same time...something that Vera Wang does so well!
The Ethel gown is truly glamorous, giving the bride something slender and sleek up top, and at the bottom romantic and dynamic volume, for the ultimate wedding day spectacle.
I had an additional after-party wedding dress so I actually only wore this for part of my wedding day, so it's practically like new! I had it professionally cleaned at Madame Paulette cleaners in Manhattan which Vera Wang recommended.
I added beautiful buttons to the back zipper and a slight sweetheart adjustment to the neckline.
I honestly wish I could keep it, but living in a Manhattan apartment, I do not have sufficient space for it. Included is a never worn Vera Wang grosgrain ribbon sash ($110 retail).
The color of the sash is vanilla and is a beautiful and subtle contrast against an ivory wedding gown. Can be tied any way you like. Also, if you are interested I can also include what I wore, the Vera Wang Swarovski Crystal Rhinestone Flower Sash ($695 retail, very hard to find) for an additional negotiated price.
