Honestly, very few alterations were done to the dress. The original design was altered to bring the deep V neck into a more modest V neck (approximately 3 inches higher), added extra applique to the side of the bodice for subtle modesty without taking away from the design, and the straps were taken in about 1 inch but can easily be let out again.
No tears/damage from what I can tell. The fabric is delicate but it also lends itself to hiding any flaws in the dress. Might be a little dirty on the bottom, inside but the appliques look good.
There is an American bustle system sewn in for the reception and dancing. The ties in the back are easily adjustable so if you have a larger waist but smaller bust like me, it'll fit well.
I love how romantic this dress feels. It has big, beautiful embroidered dahlia flowers appliqued throughout the skirt. The tulle is soft and doesn't feel itchy because there's a liner. The way this dress flows and is photographed is beautifully delicate. Perfect for a bride that is a little understated but still wants something a little extra for a special day.
One of my main concerns was dancing and this dress lived up to the expectations. I danced 3 hours straight in this dress. It's lightweight and easy to walk around in. I also could go to the bathroom by myself, which is a plus!
