Description of details: With layers of pleated tulle and floral appliques, this dress is the perfect combination of romance, with just the right amount of skin showing through sheer tulle for some flirty edginess.
I felt beautiful in the dress but like there was still a sense of surprise with the details, which were delicate and soft. The illusion aspect of this dress is gorgeous and one of the features I love most about this dress. The florals are ever-so-subtly champagne/slightly gold colored, which gives the dress yet another special detail and glow that works well with many skin tones. These details all make the dress unique and it is perfect for so many different venues and settings.
Fit and alterations: This dress is completely new, never worn, with no alterations. The dress fits great, and the V neck hits right where it shows some cleavage but not so much that I would be uncomfortable wearing this in front of modest family members. The width of the sleeves is wide enough that it works well with different body types. Also, while the style is "ballgown," the dress did not swallow me up and I have a petite frame. I also appreciated that there weren't too many buttons to deal with.
When I first tried on the dress, I was surprised by how soft and comfortable the dress was; the tulle was not itchy at all. It is regular length, which is 44 inches. There is nothing wrong with the dress; I just decided to go in a different direction.
