Illusion Lace and Tulle A-Line with a Cathedral Length Train
This dress is a dream to wear. It's light and airy which kept me feeling very comfortable throughout my entire ceremony and reception. It's described as a "Ballerina tulle bridal gown with an illusion neckline and illusion back".
The swishy skirt of the dress is made of three layers of different tulle types, over the simple polyester gown. We did a waltz for our first dance and between the ballroom bustle and all the tulle, each twirl was beautiful.
The body of the dress is actually strapless - the detailed tulle just lays over it and is only attached on the side seams.
Alterations:
- I wanted a dress with a V-back, so while this dress originally had a full back of the detailed tulle, I had it altered into the V that you can see in the photos.
- As someone who is small chested (I typically wear a 32C), I also had the torso shortened a bit at the shoulders so that the dress wouldn't have extra room in the chest.
The dress has a simple pleated tulle waistband, but I wanted something with a little sparkle so I added the belt. The belt comes with this dress but is completely unattached. The natural waistband of the dress fit me perfectly right above the hips, so the belt was able to be tied on and stay there securely all day.
Condition: This dress is in great condition. Immediately after returning from my honeymoon, I had it professionally cleaned and preserved. It has been kept that way for 3 years and was just recently taken out of the box to obtain specific information for this listing.
There are a couple of tiny snags in a few spots on the torso tulle from where the belt grazed it during transport and positioning. The snags are very small and in my opinion not noticeable unless you are intently studying the fabric.
I absolutely loved this dress and I hope that you create more joyful memories in it on your special day!
