Beautiful Beaded Lace Sheath Wedding Dress
This dress was the first one I tried on. Unfortunately, our destination wedding was a "covid-casualty". I didn't wear this dress because we ended up having a small, garden ceremony and I wore a white sundress.
Prior to the pandemic, I had the first round of very minor alterations: the hips were let out approximately 1 cm, and the shoulder straps were taken in approximately 1 cm on each side. I have not had the dress hemmed.
This sample dress is breathtaking. The lace and beading work is incredible and the way that the detailing cascades around the hips and bum is extremely figure-flattering. The fabric is buttery and gorgeous, but the dress is surprisingly light and not at all heavy to wear.
A bustle can easily be added to make for more comfortable dancing. The bride wearing this dress will also want to add cups to the top because of the open back.
A beautiful, detailed belt is also attached, but can also be left off for a simpler look. I envy the bride who ultimately wears this dress - it is a true work of art!
I never had the dress professionally cleaned and it did spend time at the tailor and I tried it on at home a couple of times. After hemming it, I genuinely do not feel it would be worth it to have the dress cleaned.
