L'ezu Couture Seafoam Silk Faille & Champagne Silk Organza Gown | size 12 - 14 Briefly worn for about an hour on March 28, 2009, then dry-cleaned and carefully pressed and hung, the gown is a custom couture creation from L’ezu Atelier in Beverly Hills. Original price: $3,200.
This one-of-a-kind gown is truly original, with exquisite fabric and couture refinement, made in February and March of 2009. Classic and romantic, it’s constructed of seafoam-green silk-faille taffetta and champagne silk organza, with a brush/sweep train, trumpet skirt and dropped waist. It has a wide V-neck, with the organza ruched and crossed at the bodice and angled in back to where it meets in a V at the hidden zipper. The bodice is lined and fully boned. There’s an attached tea-length slip closest to skin, then lined seafoam silk, then two layers of champagne organza. Long sleeves with one layer of silk and two layers of organza are notched open at the wrist.
The gown could be altered if shorter sleeves or strapless is more your style. I’m 5’7¾” and wore 1” heels. The hem of the dress was slightly off the floor in front. Bust: 36”-38”. Waist: 32.5”. Dropped waist: 37”. Hips: 41”-42”. Top of shoulder to front hem: 56.5”-57”. Sleeve from top seam to wrist: 28”. Shoulder width: 16”-16.5”. Condition: Like new except for slight mark on only the lining of the hem at the very back of the train where the silk got damp, which is not visible when the dress is worn. The silk on the outside of the dress is unmarked. Professionally cleaned, hung in original bag and stored in a smoke-free home.
