This was the dress of my dreams! I absolutely loved it. I had the dress tailored by Sarah Seven so it fit me perfectly. It is snug on top and then loose on the bottom, making it easy to walk in. It was really comfortable to move and dance in. The silk is really soft. The dress is layered and so has a heavier hand and weight feel. The fabric color is a cooler white. You can see the difference against the ivory color of my husband's jacket.
The dress is tight around the stomach area and the silk with it's reflections wasn't very forgiving. This would be the one downside to the dress. I didn't realize how tight it would be around my waist until I had it tailored. I don't think I would pick another dress anyway as I wanted a more silhouette look, but I do want to call this out.
One of the bustle clips needs to be replaced as it came out at the end of the night. Also the wrist strap sadly broke as I was using it. Both of these could be remedied by the person doing the alterations understanding the weight of the dress. I think both of these could have been sewn in more securely.
I had the dress professionally dry cleaned after and there are no stains. The dress currently has some wrinkles. I recommend bringing the dress to be professionally steamed or ironed as there were a few wrinkles on my wedding day that our regular steamer couldn't release. We ended up using an iron but it was nerve-wrecking. The last photo is of the dress as it is now, after being dry cleaned.
I am including the Sarah Seven clothes hanger and garment bag that came with the dress.
Please reach out with any questions, I would be happy to answer. I hope this dress makes you feel as good and beautiful as it made me feel!
