Behold the stunningly unique Alice bodice and Amalia skirt by Monique Lhuillier! The dress is actually four pieces: a skirt, a top, and two sleeves. When I ordered it, I requested that the sleeves be made removable.
The pinks, purples, and greens of the flower details are exquisite and add a bit of a whimsical, boho vibe to this classic and elegant ivory silhouette.
It's 100% silk, with little-to-no stretch, but hugs the body beautifully. It is light as a feather and moves like water. Because my wedding was in another country I did remove most of the tags to not have any issues with customs, but I still have all the original labels.

Alterations & Fit
I am 5'5" tall and wore four-inch platform heels. In terms of alterations, the skirt was taken in from the thigh down, and beneath the butt, to give it more of a mermaid rather than fit and flare silhouette. The top was designed to have the sleeves connect via three eye hooks on each side, but this made it incredibly constricting to wear. We removed these hooks, added an elastic to each sleeve to stay up on its own, added breast cups, and lastly lowered the bust line/rounded it slightly so it would be more of a semi-sweetheart and not so straight.
This dress is truly one-of-a-kind! An additional $1,450 was paid above the retail price for the alterations and custom pattern changes. So worth it! I love every detail of this bespoke gown and hope you do too. ❤️
Condition
There is one nick in the back of the skirt from a bustle loop that broke but besides that no damage. The dress was professionally dry-cleaned, but there are still a few light stains on the train. These are well camouflaged by their location and the print. The dry cleaners did not want to be too aggressive lest they damage the silk.
Hoping to find someone who loves this dress as much as I do! It deserves to be worn again :)
