Stunning sophisticated and elegant Aire Barcelona dress from the Aire 2018 Collection
This dress was purchased in December 2017 and worn in November 2019. I loved everything about this dress--the functional buttons all the way down the back and at the wrists, the gorgeous illusion neckline covering a sweetheart bodice, the delicate lace sleeves, the tulip-petal-shaped mikado skirt with a long, long train. It has POCKETS!!
So many mikado skirts had pleating at the front; this was one of the few that didn't. I wanted a dress that had coverage but not too much, so the lace was perfect. I was told multiple times on my wedding day how I looked princess-like, and it's the most beautiful item I've ever bought or worn.
Flaws/blemishes: There is one very small dot on the skirt of the dress that was added during the cleaning process. The preservers offered to remove it for me, but for the hassle, I didn't take them up on it because it's about the size of a pin-dot and hardly noticeable. Additionally, the alternations included a bustle, which was added at the back (it has a gorgeous, long train) and around the ankles. Those little ribbons at the ankles got a little shredded up throughout the day.
Alterations: The waist was taken in a little bit (to about 25"), and the tailor added some cups at the bust because I have a small bust (I'm a 32-34A, depending on the brand), and the length was taken up a bit because I wore flats (I'm 5'8"). Also, a bustle was added at the back (just a simple thread loop that could be attached to the buttons at the back) as well as the ribbons at the ankles.
