This fit and flare (mermaid) gown has a subtle sweetheart neckline and corset closure back. The silky stretch satin (charmeuse) provides a sleek luster to its slender and slimming silhouette. Forgiving ruching envelopes the bodice and asymmetrically plummets below the waist, while the train pours into a gorgeous balloon hem.
Minor professional alterations include a slip stitch hem, which would be easy to remove (see picture). The bride was 5'7" and wore 3.5 inch heels, so it's hemmed to that length. We also added a wrist strap instead of a bustle, which gives it an old-Hollywood look. Finally (the best alteration in my opinion), was to add loose dropped "sleeves" which do a lovely job of hiding any 'chicken fat' near the armpits, as well as any bulge along the back and on the back of the arms. These were designed with the ability to be easily removed if you desire.
The gown was professionally cleaned the day after the wedding, including sugar treatment, and does not have a stain or spot on it. It is currently stored in a bag, in a dark closet. There are two types of corset ties so you can choose a thicker or thinner look of the corset, depending on what you prefer. We can negotiate a price if you don't want all the accessories.
