I love everything about this dress and how it made me feel on my big day; I can't wait to share that experience with another bride. After all, this elegant, custom-made dress is one of a kind! I had it handmade by Susan Ogg, wedding dress designer and dressmaker with more than 30 years of experience in the bridal industry. She uses only the finest fabrics--French lace, silk satin, and silk organza from Tessuti Fabrics. The combination is lovely.

The dress is incredibly flattering and also timeless--I didn't want to look at my wedding portraits years from now and think, YIKES!" The dress is both flattering and practical (aka comfy!). For example, let's talk bodice: It's super supportive and eliminates any and all need to wear a bra. You feel nice and secured, in place, and don't have to worry about uncomfortable or showing straps. And the skirt!!!! It's just enchanting. Seriously, look at the way it flows when dancing and walking and reveals layers of soft texture and intricate embroidery. I found nothing like it in all of my dress searching, and would love for you to create wonderful memories in this special gown.

DESIGN ELEMENTS

BODICE: French corded lace over ivory silk satin, the high halter neck elongates the torso and accentuates the shoulders. Susan was incredibly careful to give this dress a low back without skimping on support. The firm support draws in the waist and makes a bra completely unnecessary. Wohoo!

SKIRT: This part of the dress is just magical. It appears simple at first, but as you walk, dance, or just catch the breeze, the outer layer opens to reveal stunning lace beneath it. It trails beautifully and, as it catches the light, you can see a hint of the silk silhouette beneath the organza.

BUSTLE: The dress has both a bustle and a loop underneath the train that can be worn on the wrist. During photos, I held the loop to raise the train, and the result was beautiful. For the reception, we bustled the train and I was a dancing machine. The dress moved and flowed perfectly.

CONDITION: Dry-cleaned and boxed in acid-free paper by Leon's Fine Dry Cleaning, it's in wonderful condition. The dress does require re-hemming (which most brides will need to custom-fit the length to their height). When re-hemmed, about 4 to 5 inches will need to be removed due to three tears in the end of the organza. Alternatively, you could add lace to the organza to cover the tears. (I'm happy to provide a few cut-offs of the lace for any alterations or to incorporate in the wedding.)

MEASUREMENTS: I am generally a 2-4 in tops and a 4-6 in pants. My bust is a 32C/34B.
