This dress is amazing. From the moment you put it on you feel like Scarlet O'Hara. The dress is unique, yet classic; dramatic, yet perfect for either a garden wedding or a ball room. While the base colour of the dress is cream the honey coloured stripes give it that extra je ne sais quoi. I honestly never wanted to take it off.
I got married outdoors in the garden in relaxed garden party wedding. The train on this dress is amazing, and takes 2seconds to detach allowing for a very easy transition from ceremony to party. No bustling required.
Ian Stuart is a british designer with a reputation for unique dresses that give you an hourglass figure that models from the 50's would die for.
From Ian Stuart website:
"This striped fabric gown is a modern style statement. The strapless sweetheart neckline crosses over into a pleated bodice, where the stripes create a modern zig-zag pattern. The full A-line skirt has cross-over draped side panels and a ruched front that gathers into a bubble hem.
The detachable cathedral train completes the look."
I am 5'9 and wore 4' heels with the dress and the length was perfect.
I really don't think the photos can do the dress the justice it deserves, but hope the ones I have attached will give you an idea. I apologize for the face bubbles. My husband isn't keen on having his picture on the internet. I have also attached photos of the dress with and without the train, in addition to a photo showing the bottom of, and undergarments that are part of the dress. I would be happy to show more of other parts of the dress if you are interested.
I really hope this dress has another opportunity to make someone as happy as it did me.
