Timeless Sparkling Sleeveless Beaded A-Line Wedding Dress
I bought this classic Carolina Herrera dress at Loehmann's in NYC in January 2003. Our small DIY wedding was held on a beautiful crisp fall day in November 2003. I have two boys, so sadly no daughter to pass this beautiful dress down to!
Neckline: The graceful v-neck neckline is low enough to show just enough cleavage, without being too showy.
Silhouette: This dress boasts a classic A-line silhouette, flattering on any body type. The fitted bodice accentuates your curves, while the flowing skirt adds a touch of grace and romance.
Bodice and Skirt: The entire bodice is covered with painstakingly applied beadwork made up of shimmering crystals and sequins, while the silk skirt plunges to the floor atop a no-static slip over a layer of tulle that will make you look like you're floating across the room.
Bustle: There are 2 buttons in the back on each side of the gown to bustle the train up. There are 2 wrist loops as well so you can really move around on the dance floor.
Gloves: The gloves I was wearing in the photo shown with the young girl are Lynn Carter silk fingerless gloves that I'm happy to throw in at no additional cost. I paid $140 for them at the Bridal Suite of Manhattan in 2003.
Condition: Our wedding ceremony and reception were outside, so the hemline has some subtle marks left from sweeping across the lawn and cobblestone patio. I've attached pictures of the marks to avoid any surprises.
Alterations: Minor alterations to waist and length. It was a very good fit right off the rack. Bustle added.
