Flirty Elegant Feminine Allover Lace Sheath Wedding Dress
The second I tried on the Violet gown by Ines Di Santo I knew it was the dress for me. I know this sounds cliche, but I tried on over 50 dresses in multiple different bridal shops and none of them quite felt right.
Many dresses look and feel the same, but the violet dress is unique. First of all, the gown is jaw-dropping. It's elegant and timeless with French Alencon scalloped lace deep v-neckline and cap sleeves. The gown is also alluring with the plunging neckline and low cut v-back with a hidden zipper. The long cathedral train with ivory lace is beyond stunning.
I purchased the dress in January 2020 (right before the world shut down) and did not wear it until October 2021 after postponing our wedding. I started alterations in summer 2021. When I purchased the dress I was a size 6, around 145lbs and measurements were B: 35.5, W:30, H:40. I ordered a size 14. I had 3 alterations mostly to fix the length. I am 5'2 and did not wear heels (wore sandals). I lost about 15 lbs and the dress was taken in around the waist and hips along with the cap sleeves. When I wore the dress I weighed 130 lbs and fit into a size 2/4. I also added in cups as there is no way to wear a bra with the open back (and front!).
I have many more pictures to share if needed and also the original receipt so please reach out to Nearly Newlywed if you are interested :). This was my dream dress which made me feel unique and beautiful on my wedding day, and my hope is that you can feel the same way on your special day!
