I bought this gorgeous wedding dress in January 2023. I remember this was the first store and dress I tried on that immediately took my heart. I wanted to try on other dresses so I did, and I went back the next day to try this dress on again and knew it was the one - I purchased it at the store and was eager to get it home. I fell in love with the simplicity of the dress, yet the beautiful beaded detailing that made it elegant and classy. My favorite part of the entire dress is the deep sheer back with the detailing of the buttons and the beaded spaghetti straps which gave it a sparkle. The train of the dress is stunning with a lace scalloped chapel train + a beautiful veil… it took my breath away. The dress has sewn in bra cups which meant I didn't have to worry about a bra on the big day and it has a mesh panel to keep the plunging neckline in place. Here is the fit and sizing information per the website -
-
Bust: Great for any cup size and comfortable fit in bust area
-
Waist: Fitted at natural waist
-
Hips: Fitted through the hips
-
Length: Dress accommodates for a height up to 5"11"
-
Fabric: Fabric liner has some stretch
-
Great For: Apple, Hourglass, Athletic, Pear, Petite, Straight, Narrow, and Plus Size
During the time of purchasing the dress, I was around 140 pounds, 5"4" and went with a size 6. The dress was big around my bust area, and slightly around the straps - the dress was also a bit long on me so I knew I would have to get the bottom hemmed. Otherwise, it fit perfectly everywhere else!
This dress has a story - 5 months before our wedding day, we decided we needed to cancel due to some extenuating circumstances. As any women can probably relate, planning and dreaming of your wedding is something we start thinking about at a young age. I was crushed, but I knew it was the right thing for the both of us in that moment. With that being said, this dress has never been work except when I tried it on. I took it in to get alterations, but picked it up a few weeks later when we knew we were no longer getting married. I've held onto it for over a year and decided it's time to part ways with it. I want this dress to have its chance to make a bride feel empowered and beautiful for her wedding day.
Alternations: While I originally took the dress in to get altered, the seamstress had only done some of the alterations before I had told her we were cancelling the wedding.
- She only did some of the alterations, and from the notes I have she had worked on the bustles, hem (side-to-side), and darts in the front. If I remember correctly, she hadn't shortened the straps yet and I believe any hemming could be undone.
The photos included are from the day I decided to buy the dress. I also included two photos from the website to give another visual since I don't have any photos to show from the actual wedding day.
