This is your chance to own a designer gown at a bargain price! I loved this dress when I bought it but unfortunately gained some weight since that time. As you can see in the photos, I could not zip it up fully. I had two dresses in my possession and the other one fit, so this one has to go. The retail value on this gown is $3,200, plus the custom addition of extra buttons along the zipper, which was an extra $200. The total retail on this dress is $3,400! This dress is 100% silk taffeta, and a luminous, pearly shade of white (the nature of the silk it's made of). It comes with a built-in crinoline, and all photos are taken of the dress as-is (no additional petticoat used, although it could be added if more fluff is desired). It has not been taken out of the bag except to take photos to post here (taken in two different rooms, but on one occasion). It is brand new, and has the designer's tag on the inside (no hang tags, as it was custom). It is currently being stored in a smoke free, pet free, and dust free home. I am 5'5" and in the photos I am wearing 3.5" heels, so someone up to probably 5'10"+ could wear this if they wore flat shoes (as you can see, it is quite long on me).
There is a good amount of boning in the top (VERY sturdy), and a dropped waist with strips of fabric along the waistline for an incredible slimming effect. The skirt has a lot of large, assymetrical pickups which can be re-fluffed to get the desired effect. The bottom of the skirt has a silk organza pleated edge, which comes up on the left side of the skirt. All of the buttons are functional (will totally cover the zipper). Show off your curves with the couture dropped waist effect. This is a beautiful dress and is of the highest quality...I was very upset that I had to get a different one, but c'est la vie!
I would like to stress that this dress is brand new, never worn, never altered, standard size 10 (bridal size). I wear a street size 10/12, so it is somewhat true to size as compared to other bridal companies. The company's measurements for a size 10 are: 36 bust, 27 waist, 39 hips. If it is possible, I would recommend trying it on in a salon (or, if you are nearby, you are welcome to come try on the actual dress), or at least looking at it in person, as it has to be a final sale.
