Leanne Marshall Mathilde Dress
I originally ordered this dress from Brooklyn designer Leanne Marshall on Etsy (leannemarshall.com). I couldn't be happier with its fit and quality, especially considering I had never tried it on before purchase. I was married on May 17th, 2014, and now its time to pass my dream dress on the someone else.
The Mathlide dress is silk and tulle with a alencon lace overlay. It's tea-length, and measures 29" from waistline to hem, which I am told is the standard measurement for "tea length."
The bodice has a wide, lace neckline which dips into a V in the back. It is fitted and shaped to the body with multiple darts. Compared to a lot of wedding dresses on the market today it is cute, fun and modest.
The shirt has a hand-cut, scalloped, alencon lace embellishment. Under is lined with silk and cotton and many layers of floaty tulle. It comes with a silk belt.
The regular retail is $2,250. I bought it on Etsy for $1,550, and I'm willing to part with it for $620.
SIZING
The model in the picture in 5'8" and I am 5'8" as well, but I could easily see this dress fitting someone a few inches shorter.
According to the tag, the dress is a size 2, with a 32-33" bust and a 25-26" waist. I am on the larger side of these dimensions, and usually wear a street size 4-6. The dress fit like a glove and I didn't need to make any alterations.
The dress is in great condition and does not need to be clean. Please let me know if you have any questions!
