Simple and Elegant Wedding Dress with Delicate Pearl Edging
I fell in love with this dress before I even looked in the mirror. The high-quality, expensive crepe felt like wearing a stretch jersey, yet made me feel like a goddess with its luster and flow. The material is medium weight and has a good stretch, making it comfortable yet flattering.
I love its simple elegance: tiny pearls that line the straps, neckline, and back. The back has a hidden zip closure underneath the buttons. The thin belt detail at the waist gives definition without uncomfortable cinching.
I chose to have “cut edges” on the tulle panels (chest and sides); however, you can easily get them hemmed if preferred. I did not get a bustle because I like the old-fashioned look of a wrist loop (made of little plastic pearls).
The dress was originally US size 4 (AUS 8), but it was taken in at the waist and chest, as well as hemmed. The hanger straps have been cut.
It was professionally cleaned right after the wedding. There are 3 very small (about 1mm) faint stains from the dirt (it trailed on grassy soil) at the tail end of the train. These are almost unavoidable, and barely detectable.
