The Rue de Seine Moon dress is a joy to wear and I'd love another bride to have the chance to enjoy this dress and feel as special as I did in it!
The dress is all-over lace with an ivory lining and is beautifully made - this is one of the reasons why I've decided to sell it, as a dress with this dressmaking skill deserves to be admired and enjoyed rather than languishing in a wardrobe. The all-over lace extends into a train, with a wrist loop making the train very manageable for the reception and dancing. The bodice has soft boning which makes it supportive to wear without a bra. It's an excellent style for someone who wants to look like a bride without feeling overdone, and the boho style is perfect for a relaxed outdoor wedding.
From the Rue de Seine website: The Moon dress is fully boned through the bodice, with no structure visible on the outside shell. This gown gives the security of structure with a soft, almost draped aesthetic. The gown has a flattering, elongating silhouette with a low back, low neckline with an over-the-bust frill, and dramatic back train.
The dress was altered to a US size 4 (for reference I am 5'8" and 130lb). Please note I did not wear heels with this dress as I am tall. I had professional alterations including taking in through the waist hips and chest.
- Cups had been added but have now been removed.
- A button bustle was added.
The dress has been dry cleaned and is in good condition. There is slight discoloration on the slip portion of the dress at the bottom but it can not be seen as it is covered by the lace. There is also a small tear on the bottom left in the lace (photo attached).
