Beautiful Modern Sweetheart A-Line Wedding Dress with Spaghetti Straps
This dress was what I always dreamed about when thinking about my "perfect" wedding look.
It has two delicate, very thin shoulder straps that lead into a gorgeous detailed double strap v in the back of the dress. The bodice is a corset, which was perfect for creating a cinched, hourglass shape and keeping me fully supported the entire day and night. I loved how the corset made my shape look, truly. The skirt is a gorgeous silk organza. It's an A-line style, but slightly fuller when the corset is pulled.
The dress was a designer size 18 to accommodate my bust, and I am 5'6 and was 165 lbs when I first tried it in September 2022 for a June 2023 wedding. I usually wear a size 10-12 in store-bought dresses or a large. I am bigger busted and have wider hips. So, we needed some alterations due to weight and inch loss. We only took about 1/2 inch of the length of the skirt. By the time my dress was fully altered and finished, it was a size 16, so a designer size down. A size 16 wedding dress is NOT like a size 16 regular dress.
The BEST alterations I have ever received, it fit me like a glove with nothing peeking out. I also have to brag about how the seamstress made the top/bust of the dress at the corset like a gorgeous bra. It was literally the most supportive and secure while adding the perfect lift and no feeling of pulling myself up or checking that I wasn't falling out. I lost some weight throughout the year.
