The Monarch gown by BHLDN was retired in 2018, brought back by popular demand in 2019, and has now been discontinued 2020. But you still have a chance to own this gorgeous and flowy ivory dress with blush (they call it champagne) underslip.
Truthfully, I felt bad spending so much money on a dress I would wear for only a short time on one day in my life. And it turned out to be the best decision! I felt so beautiful in this dress and it was perfect for the curvy woman that I am. The tears in my almost-husband's eyes at the First Look made it worth every penny.
The Monarch dress was more than I ever dreamed my dress could be. Size 14 is my normal size, and this dress in 14 fit perfectly. NO ALTERATIONS done on it, so you can make this dress your own. I'm 5'11", and there was plenty of length to it. There are built-in cups (with ample size for me, but easy alterations for someone with a smaller chest), and boning in the bodice helps give a wonderful shape. The tulle skirt and train are very flowy and magical. (It didn't even need any pressing!)
The dress was worn briefly for pictures and a short wedding ceremony in February 2020. It was cleaned immediately afterward. It is in mint condition (no rips, tears, snags).
I hope you will feel as gorgeous in this dress on your special day as I did on mine.
