Congratulations on your engagement! Choosing a wedding gown is such a difficult decision - I empathize and am happy to answer any questions you may have for me.
This wedding gown was purchased a few months ago at Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills. It is simply stunning! If you appreciate the style of the Art Deco era, you will appreciate this gown. I tried on many Jenny Packhem, Johanna Johnson, and other Elizabeth Filmore gowns and always felt that I looked a bit like I was going to a "Great Gatsby" party, or was wearing a very fancy nightgown. Then I tried on this dress. Subtle and elegant. Finally! The perfect dress.
The gown has two full layers of silk charmeuse fabric, cut on the bias. The silk is layered in such a way that the luminous (and luxuriously soft) side of the silk that you see in the pictures, is against your skin on the inner layer - so you will feel as beautiful as you will look.
Adding to the striking (and slimming) silhouette of this gown is its chapel train. The seamstress added a finger loop and a very simple optional bustle, which attaches to a small silk covered button. Should you choose to, you can transition from one option to another, easily and gracefully.
Well, then, I won't spend any more of your time. Please feel free to ask questions and for more pictures. I also have a Jenny Packham "jewel H/D VI"headdress listed which would go perfectly with this dress. Please let me know, should you be interested.
Best wishes to you!
