For your consideration is a rare Lihi Hod White Orchid gown perfect for a typical size 4 figure. Handmade at Lihi's atelier in Tel Aviv and purchased at Gabriella New York.
Made of ivory beaded Chantilly and Alencon laces with a champagne skirt lining for added dimension. Full lace sleeves, gorgeous plunging neckline and low back. The gown has an invisible, built-in nude shaper short to completely streamline the silhouette, making this a wonderfully unfussy gown that requires no complicated undergarments. The shaper is medium compression for a comfortable smoothing effect, with hook & eye closure at the gusset and the back, and fabric-covered toggle buttons close over them in back.
It is fitted through the bust, waist, hips and flares out at the knee, creating the most beautiful cascade of beaded lace with every step and incredible movement when dancing. Chapel train with pickup bustles on either side of the skirt (the idea was to create a subtle, barely-there bustle effect to avoid disrupting the elegant flow of the skirt).
I wore the dress with push-up contour cups temporarily sewn in, which I highly recommend as they beautifully enhance the seductive but elegant neckline of this gown (if you are larger than a 32B, you may not need the push-up). The gown is slightly sheer from the waist up, which does require a foam cup of some kind for modesty (virtually any tailor can add a cup in mere minutes). My preservationist removed the push-up cups during the restoring process, but I'm happy to include them for you.
Measurements taken from my figure, as Lihi Hod gowns are custom built using 30+ measurements; this gown was custom built to my figure (I am a pretty textbook dress size 4, 32B, and a 27 jean size);
Measurements in Inches: Underbust: 30" Apex of Bust: 34" Wrist to tip of shoulder: 19" Bicep width: 10.5" Distance between shoulder tips: 16.5" Floor to top of shoulder: 56" Waist around: 27" Hips around: 35" Lower hip at widest point: 37.5" I am 5'5" and wore the dress with a 3.5 inch stiletto heel; the gown perfectly sweeps the floor at these measurements.
The gown was cleaned, restored and preserved by J Scheer, the preferred preservationist of all top luxury bridal houses. It will arrive wrapped in tissue in the preservation box with a pair of cotton gloves for careful handling.
This gown was my absolute dream in every way; the perfect balance of showstopping, effortless, classic and seductive. Depending on how you style it, it can take on a Spanish, Bohemian or Old Hollywood look. Now that I'm ready to part with it, I'm looking for a bride that will appreciate the incredible craftsmanship and adore it as much as I have.
Price is pretty firm (40% off the total retail price plus fine-tune tailoring + preservation) but happy to consider all reasonable, serious offers.
Please let me know if you have any questions! I can provide any additional measurements or images.
