This dress was my dream dress!!! As an artist, even though I love something, I always feel like I have to make it mine, so this dress is slightly altered for the better.
The beading is intricate (and has been re-beaded by a professional seamstress), but the feel of the dress is light. I tried on some beaded dresses with that Old Hollywood/Bo-Ho glam feel that felt like knight's armor. This dress moves with you. I never felt like I was dragging it around! It was all I could ask of gauzy and glamourous. The train is stunning and makes you feel like you're a fairy.
I am tall (6'), so I kept the sample length for the beaded shell and trimmed up the satin sheath by just a hair. I wore 2" platform shoes. It could easily be shortened-- or let back out.
I had my seamstress fit the satin sheath to a deep V cut in the front (get some tape!) and a low U scoop in the back. I also tailored in the cap sleeves, because they felt dated and awkward on me. I spent about 600$ making sure the dress was altered by good and attentive tailors.
I'd be happy to speak with you if you are interested. I want it to go to someone who loves this dress as much as I did. Trust me; If I could wear this dress again I would.
The sample that I purchased was in immaculate condition and was re-beaded before purchase. I have additional beads that I will happily send with the dress just in case.
Please feel free to email or call me if you're interested. Price may be negotioable for the right bride! Please text me, or email me if you are interested in case I miss your call.
Thanks for looking!
