Beautiful, plush vintage 1950's mink originating from Amsterdam.
Style: Cut features 3/4 sleeves and a cropped finish sitting just above or on your hips, depending on the length of your torso.
Sizing + Measurements:
- Petite fit; Australian 6-10 (or XS - a small busted Medium). I am an Australian 6-8 with a 10-12B bra measurement and this fits me really well. My sister is an Australian 10 with a 10C bust and this also fits her very well. Both of us can close it up with the hook clasp.
- From collar to hem: 52cm
- Armpit to armpit internal measurement: 47cm
- Armpit to armpit external measurement: 51cm
- Shoulder tip to sleeve hem external measurement: 42cm
Dress style: The cut of this coat is designed to suit either a gown that cinches in at the waist and flows out, or a slim fit gown.
Colour: mixed creamy grey tones
Fur notes:
- Female mink, soft when you brush down but less soft when you brush up;
- Made from ONE piece of fur - this coat is not made from pelt strips. One piece has been used for the entire torso - front and back; one piece for each sleeve; one piece for the collar. Very luxe.
Lining: Mid-grey satin; hand stitched and includes two small pockets. There is a small loop at the neckline so the coat can be hung up on (I think) either a hook or old coat stand.
Damage of note: There is some discoloration of the lining around the neck, sleeve hems, and both armpits. The stitching in both armpits has come apart slightly and needs to be repaired. I'm not a seamstress so I wouldn't attempt it myself on such a beautiful piece of vintage.
